Beautiful venue with select food and excellent cocktails, unusually stylish in Cologne

My review is really 3.5 stars. Atmosphere is really nice, well lit and well decorated. The reason I gave 1 less star is because we didn’t realize how expensive just 0.75L bottle of water cost: €8.90..we got 4 without thinking it would be THAT much for such a small bottle. The rest of the food prices were decent. Food quality was average (7 out of 10).

Delicious meal! Great location at the base of Cologne Cathedral! Bread before main course with olive oil and home made spread that was great and the schnitzel was phenomenal.

Fortunate find in Cologne! This quiet oasis is connected to the train station and sits in the shadow of the cathedral. The food was delicious. I ordered the weekday special, two courses (main + dessert) for 19.90 euro - worth every penny! Service was professional, friendly and genuine. I will definitely return! If you're reading this and can suggest other "Old World" style restaurants inside train stations in Europe, please pass on your knowledge. I'm hungry to find more depot dining like Wartesaal am Dom.... :)
