The enclosure was changed a bit on the outside, people had put tree trunks for the animals, they lay there in the shade or saw how they were scratching with relish there saw mother with young ones who had been doing this for a number of years you can also see some offspring there And the trees are fenced in for protection right next to them is the bison enclosure. The size of the imposing animals that almost always have offspring is a shame that they no longer have the maned wolves, the opposite were very elegant animals with long legs

A visit to the Cologne Zoo is always worth a visit. The entrance fees for a family of five unfortunately does not allow a more frequent visit. Here should perhaps be considered to settle the integrated aquarium visit to actual needs and not from the outset. At none of my zoo visits I made it to the aquarium therefore I consider this an additional option better. It could therefore be a more attractive price especially for families with several children generated. Due to construction work and zoo refurbishment, unfortunately, we did not find any lions or tigers that were interesting for the children 😕 therefore, due to the current construction site situation, an appropriate adjusted price calculation would be suggested. Otherwise it was a nice day in an interesting and well maintained facility.

Nice zoo. I prefer to walk around here than in any other German zoo. The animals live in a fairly large environment and are not really completely trapped. I found the underwater world less.
