my experience with this law firm is so bad that I cannot explain anything here. An apparently simple matter was so badly worked on that it dragged on for years. In the end, the lawyer fell ill and left. And Schwupps was a new one who put up his bill. For my part, I will steer clear of this firm. I will not express my honest opinion here, because I believe that then one would be active here.

When the client knows more than his lawyer. The story behind this: I asked the Küsgens attorney in advance by telephone whether he was familiar with the subject of legal liability in connection with family law. This was answered in the affirmative. After a few weeks I had an appointment for this and after 2 minutes I realized that it could not contribute very much knowledge. He is not even aware of the Supreme Court ruling on this matter. A lawyer must actively advise his client against a settlement if the continuation of the legal dispute could have a better chance of success. If he fails to do this, he is liable for it. I then sent him the BGH judgment by email. I expect more from a consultation on this. It is not the client who should advise the lawyer, but the other way around. His final written recommendation after a few days was nothing more than a summary of the BGH judgment including a very unusual conclusion and recommendation not to take advantage of the recourse claim. I immediately changed the lawyer who was on the subject and came to a completely different judgment and could not even begin to understand Mr Küsgens' argument. For this "non-consultation", Mr. Küsgens then allowed himself to invoice 190 euros plus VAT. When I asked him whether he actually thought it would be a good idea to bill me, the content of which did not correspond to what I would normally have expected from a consultation, he naturally insisted on paying his bill. He also asked me to tell him about the outcome of my legal case. Perhaps there will also be an invoice. The office was contacted by me because an older lady was about to lose her apartment. All other steps had been exhausted beforehand and the last step to a law firm was chosen. Mr. Deigert represented me very well in my criminal case. Worked towards acquittal. In my eyes, a very qualified and friendly lawyer. Always happy with Mr. Deigert!
