When I pointed out to the lady that she could also enter the EAN manually, it said that it wouldn't work. The barcode does nothing but transmit the EAN (number) to the device. If you were to enter the EAN by hand and write the EAN on the package, the UPS person could enter the EAN and would have the same data 1: 1. From whom, what, where ... that's all there is to it. But I was told that you cannot enter an EAN on the scanner. When she scanned the printed barcode you could see how the scanner enters the number in an input field and this number is then transmitted to the server. So the field was very much there. Also makes no sense not to insert such a field. Every cashier can only do that with the devices. Should this option be left out? When I pointed the woman's attention to the input field, she told me the UPS man would not take the packages like this. Apparently he cannot enter an EAN with 8 digits either. I will also send a complaint to UPS. The store is not adequately equipped to be a UPS Access Point.

Don't accept Amazon parcels and unfriendly staff
