For me the nicest second-hand bookshop in town. The range is attractively and lovingly presented and selected. The owner takes a lot of time for the customers in order to guarantee optimal advice, in addition one finds a very broad literary expertise here. I would highly recommend a visit to everyone, shops like this are hard to find.

I am always happy to be there and almost every time I find something. And because of the nice staff, it's worth it anyway

Actually, I've always been satisfied with the service in the store, but I've only ever bought something. Now I wanted to sell various wonderful books from my grandfather's estate. It was important to me that these books are not simply thrown away, but continue to be read or come into good new hands. A mandatory euro would have been enough for me. That's how I communicated it. I was asked to take photos of the books and send them to the email address on the business card; they would then get in touch. I took the trouble and took photos of the majority of the books and forwarded them by email. Unfortunately, less than 2 minutes after I had sent the mail, I received an answer that the books could already be bought so cheaply on the Internet that buying them would not be worthwhile. Nobody can tell me that they can research the value of over 30 books within 2 minutes on the Internet and at the same time still be able to write an answer mail in the time. I would have found a direct rejection in the store to be more fair than the subsequent wiping off by e-mail.

As a long-standing and satisfied customer of the Soester second-hand bookshop, it is important to me to inform you that this is a very well-stocked second-hand bookshop with an extensive inventory of books. From very old "sweethearts" to well-preserved, newer used books - almost every book wish can be fulfilled. Many of these books are also available on the Internet and can be obtained from this platform. And all of this at very affordable prices. Should something not be available: On request, orders will of course also be accepted. The two women on sale are always very friendly, helpful and flexible, and their great professional competence is also remarkable. Two purchases by this second-hand bookshop (one from my private collection and another through my brokerage from an estate) were carried out uncomplicated and with great professionalism to mutual satisfaction. The Soester Antiquariat is an asset to the city center. A visit is definitely recommended to every book lover.

Small, fine and lovingly run second-hand bookshop with a diverse selection and regular (also local) thematic focuses, which are just as lovingly decorated and presented in the shop window.
