I went to this clinic on the recommendation of a friend who had MS. Before that, an inflammation with an unclear origin in the central nervous system was found in our district health center. The treatment, both technically and personally, was an absolute catastrophe and after the discharge, the symptoms worsened massively. The Maianne Strauss Clinic was the exact opposite! From the first telephone contact to my discharge, I felt in perfect hands. The clinical day is very well organized, and the employees, regardless of the area, are very friendly. An attempt is made (and in my case always managed) to respond to individual patient requests. The food is very good for a clinic, you have a variety of dishes to choose from and here, too, we try to meet individual requests as far as possible. Due to the pandemic situation, it was unfortunately not possible to leave the clinic premises. However, the park area offers a little variety and of course the beautiful view of the lake. A visit was possible with prior registration. My visit was also very positively surprised by the pleasant atmosphere and the exceptionally friendly staff. Professionally, you can tell that you are in a special clinic. During the "search for origin", physiotherapy, occupational therapy and various other applications were started immediately in consultation with the attending physician. The therapists all approached the patients with a lot of joy and good humor. What was very pleasant for the general mood ... Lots of joy and laughter. With Dr. Feneberg, I had a very empathetic and competent doctor by my side. Everything was explained to me very well and in a way that was understandable for a layperson. And most importantly, he took a lot of time. The nursing staff on my ward (A) was a dream. You seldom find so much warmth and friendliness. My conclusion: Many other clinics and service providers can learn something from this clinic. It remains a clinic and not a hotel and yet everything is done personally and professionally for the patient so that he feels comfortable. There is more to recovery than giving an injection and this was understood and implemented excellently in this clinic.

After reading some bad reviews here, I was initially skeptical about spending my first hospital stay here. However, the competent and friendly hospital staff taught me better and I was pleasantly surprised at how well I felt. Of course, a hospital stay should not be confused with a wellness hotel, but everyone is very careful to make their stay as pleasant as possible. The location directly on Lake Starnberg invites you to relax and also contributes to your well-being. There is a clinic-owned park that invites you to go for a walk. At this point I would also like to thank the physiotherapy and occupational therapy specialists, as well as the doctors, who accompanied me well through this time and were always at your side with advice and action.

I am a very young lady and was born with V. a. MS admitted. Unfortunately, the suspicion was confirmed in the clinic. I wish I had come to another clinic for my first diagnosis, I was scared a lot here, I felt like it was the end of my life. The doctors are not at all empathetic, but there was a doctor who tried hard, unfortunately he too made me extremely afraid of the future. Because of 1 episode, escalation therapy was forced or persuaded and I was even more afraid if I did not accept this suggestion. The therapists are amazing! Extremely hard-working, sensitive and loving. In the clinic, I suffered from panic attacks every day because of the fear-mongering, with shortness of breath and crying spasms for hours, but my doctor noticed that apart from a psychotherapy conversation, I did not initiate anything further, although I wanted further discussions. The height was on the day of my discharge! The doctors tried hard to discharge me before my wedding, the discharge should take place 1 day before. This worked well until I was allowed to go downstairs and the doctor wanted to finish my report. I still had so much to plan for the next day because I didn't have 24 hours left. I waited 2 hours with my picker for the report and nothing came. Then I described my problem to Ms. Wiegand from reception and was really attacked very severely by her. I should go out of the clinic and wait outside, he would be finished with my report in 30 minutes. I waited, nothing came again. Since I had no other contact person, I had to ask Ms. Wiegand again, after which I was extremely pampered with the words “what better way do you have plans than waiting, I don't think anything”. She said this even though she knew about my wedding the next day. No empathetic staff, especially in a special MS clinic, I find that very important.

Incompetent staff. There i.a. a clinic for MS sufferers is very little idea and work along the lines of too many beds free, you have to remain flat. Whether or not meaningless.

For the second time I was in the MSK as a patient and have to say that I was helped a lot again. My thanks go to the doctors, the nursing staff and the staff of the entire clinic. "Wellbeing is often in your own hands"
