Schuster Stefan Stoll (Schuhreparaturen)
Reviews
P Reins (10/05/2020)
Seldom so happy to publish a recommendation: the Stolls are just great. And that over the decades that I have been a customer of both of them. It starts with Stefan's impeccable and consistently careful work, regardless of whether it's a small or a big problem, and ends with Marion's and Stefan's friendliness, helpfulness and 1+ customer service. They sometimes say "don't do it, won't do anything" or "will be too expensive", or trust a customer with a large package to try on at home. Such work plus service is almost never found today. Big compliments and a big thank you.

Wonderful cobbler with competent advice and extremely friendly, personal service. Good job, fair prices. That the store also always offers nice little things "by the way", e.g. I find gift ideas and decorations charming. The bad review from the gentleman who requests a website with a digitized "repair status query" (!) From a tiny family-owned company and complains that the nice lady at the checkout does not memorize every single one of the> 200 pairs in I know I can't understand shoes that are in work In any case, I can 100% recommend the Schuster Stoll and I am pleased that such valuable craftsmanship still has a firm place in Starnberg between all the big shots for children's boutiques.

Background: My shoe had an uncomfortable arch under the insole, which was very uncomfortable when pressed for a long time. I wanted the cobbler to tear out the insole and install a new one so that the bulge is no longer noticeable. 1st star: Because of the very friendly ladies at the reception. 2nd star: Because of the very friendly cobbler and the generally friendly customer dealings. 1st star deduction: The store has no phone or website. So you always have to ask for the status of your shoes by car in the city center and in the shop. Nowadays just an absurdity. Waste of fuel, waste of time and at best the shoes are ready. If not, you can pull off undeveloped things, go back again sometime and keep your fingers crossed that they are then finished. A simple website with the status indicators "Shoe with the processing number 123 repaired / not repaired" would solve the whole problem in a jiffy, but you'd rather stay old school and get people to park in front of the shop with their horse-drawn carriages. Everything was better in the Middle Ages. 2nd star deduction: The second time I was in the store and wanted to pick up my shoe, the lady at the checkout didn't even know if the shoe was being processed at all. You have to imagine that the clerk at the checkout, whose only job is to take shoes, sell shoe soles and hand over repaired shoes do not know whether a shoe has been processed or not. I don't even want to blame the employee, the system behind it just seems to be badly thought out. Maybe you should just put a small piece of paper on your shoe, which says whether and what was done, done. In short, the shoe was of course not repaired. I took it with me anyway because I was pretty upset that I went there for free. 3rd star deduction: On my third visit to the store, I tore out the insole of the shoe at home beforehand. So I went back to the shoemaker with the torn out insoles and said that I would like some insoles that could possibly dampen the arch. And I asked the shoemaker why he didn't tear out the insoles, as we had said from the start. His answer: He would have found it a shame to break the shoe by tearing out the insole (NO change would have been visible externally ...). I told the shoemaker EXTRA at the first conversation that he can do what he wants with the shoe, the main thing is that the bulge disappears. But well, he's a shoemaker, he should know ... But I can also get advice from a fish seller if he doesn't do anything. Bonus negative point: I bought two insoles there, both 20 euros each (there are 5 euros cheaper on the Internet, unfortunately I only found out afterwards. Teaching fee of 10 euros). The first insole has a crack on the heel after less than a week. Would like to exchange them, only I noticed: I have not received a receipt. These incredible quality insoles were turned on for a 5 euro higher username price without issuing me a receipt. Now I can't even give the shit back. Conclusion: Unfortunately I can not say anything about the quality of the shoe repair, since my shoes were unprocessed on the shelf after 1 1/2 weeks. I spent 40 euros on insoles, a pair of which already have a crack on the heel, even though I haven't worn the shoe for even 4 days in a row. Exchange not possible because there is no receipt. No phone, no website, no card payment possible and employees who have no idea whether shoes have been repaired. 2 out of 5 stars.
