Thr gorgeous promenade at lake Starnberg! This place is indeed very beautiful with a clean huge lake, Alps at the southern end and very well maintained walkways all around it with restaurants, cafés, ice cream stores, parks, playgrounds etc. around the promenade. The place is full of tourists mostly throughout the year and it's like a festival during sunny days! Top place!

Very nice lake area with reasonable priced little shops for souvenirs, coffee and a bite to eat. Easy to access via Train from Munich and by car via Autobahn and local roads.

Incredible view of Starnberg lake including the Alps and the highest mountain of Germany which is easily visible on a clear day

A nice walk along the lake, either towards Percha (parents, there is a playground nearby where the path diverts away from the train tracks) or towards the south. There are souvenir shops and cafés and one can sit down and relax on the cobble beach with a breathtaking view of the lake and the alps behind.
