Dear animal friends in Straubing. You got a wonderful veterinarian. We miss Dr. Herpel-Mikulska very much in Berlin. She accompanied our little Emma for 14 years. She is super empathetic and great. We wish you a great start for the new practice. Kind regards, Petra Höpfner from Berlin-Grunewald

I'm just excited ! Finally we have a sensitive, friendly, open, time-consuming and professionally sound veterinarian in Straubing. I've been looking for something like that for 15 years. My dog Sheila is 15 years old and has several chronic diseases. The last vets did not take their symptoms seriously. I have suspected an underactive thyroid for 2.5 years. The behavior and symptoms match perfectly. In the last thyroid profile, the values were in the gray area. My veterinarian at the time didn't want to admit it and just said that Sheila is an old dog and out of therapy. The penultimate vet (who didn't even want to look at the documents) said on the first visit: "And now? Should I do magic? It's an old dog and there is nothing more you can do!" But I wanted to try one last time with Dr Herpel and I'm so happy that I went to her. Dr. Herpel took a lot of time and carefully read through all the documents. She explained everything to me in great detail and also addressed my worries and fears. We have now had a new thyroid profile and a geriatric blood count done. If the values are still in the gray area, Sheila will be given appropriate thyroid hormones. We could have had a TSH stimulation test, but I was afraid that Sheila would die from it. The test is very stressful, especially considering her age and her illnesses. Most vets would have been mad now, but Dr Herpel wasn't. She was very empathetic and we found another solution. What I found very positive, that Dr Herpel has nothing against cooking herself. In addition, there are not thousands of veterinary feed, tick remedies and additives around her that absolutely want to be sold. I can only recommend Dr Herpel to everyone. She is a veterinarian with heart and soul. I think it's so great that you can talk to her openly without being called stupid. She's just a 6 in the lottery! Hopefully Dr Herpel will stay in Straubing forever.
