Today we had a funeral in the Zavelstein forest. The logging work took place about 500m from the funeral home. The funeral director tried to find out before the start of the ceremony whether the work could be interrupted for the duration of the funeral. The noise of the chainsaw remained. After going to the burial site, we were only about 150-200m away from the work. DURING the burial and the personal farewell of the mourners from the deceased, 4-5 (!!!!) beech trees fell in the immediate vicinity. This is an embarrassing, absolute NOGO in a quiet forest (or in direct proximity to this) to carry out woodcutting work during a burial or at least if you are asked not to interrupt it. A fundamental regulation of the community must be brought about here! Otherwise, this quiet forest is a worthy place for the final resting place of relatives.
