Beautiful, extensive cemetery with old trees and a calm, devout atmosphere. Community graves offer modern forms of burial, all in all I really like the cemetery as a place to say goodbye.

Bergfriedhof The Bergfriedhof is on the level of the Galgenberg in the south of Tübingen. It is very large, about 15 hectares and very extensive. The Tübingen mountain cemetery was opened in 1950. It has been the main cemetery in Tübingen ever since. Deceased people find their final resting place in artistically designed graves. The cemetery is also very modern. WONDERFUL, spacious facility. NORTH SIDE: some window photo frames explain the view over the whole of Tübingen. ABOVE east side Three mighty crosses as if standing together on Golgotha; Not without reason Called Galgenberg. 150 YEARS OLD trees. Hidden, symbolic WAR GRAVES, dreamy children's graves, anatomy collective graves. ● Exhibition of different burial variations. A place to stay. ● Top toilets in the administration. Stone mason and florist on site. WEST: AT sunset, view over the Neckar valley to Rottenburg and the Black Forest. The best place is above the chapel. Sufficient parking spaces. SOUTH: Distant view to the Swabian Alb, the landslide near Mössingen. BUS STOP AVAILABLE
