Alter Irscher Friedhof

The old Irish cemetery is located in the village opposite the parish church of St. Georg. In the cemetery is the bell tower of the first village church, which was demolished in 1833 due to dilapidation. The cemetery wall was renovated in 2016. Funerals are now taking place in this cemetery again; but there is a larger cemetery outside the village (the so-called "Höhenfriedhof"). I recently heard that funerals should no longer take place in the cemetery due to groundwater (I don't know if that's true). In July 2020, scaffolding was erected around the bell tower.
