Nestled in a quiet residential area in Trier, Becker's is definitely worth a detour. The hotel was nice, but I was especially impressed by the two-Michelin-starred restaurant. The foods were quintessentially German with some French and Asian twists. Every dish was cooked and prepared to perfection, and wine-pairings, which were almost exclusively comprised of local white wines, were divine. I loved the hostess' charisma and passion, who provided great explanations of taste notes, histories, and origins of each wine. If you are traveling the Western part of Germany, you should definitely try this place.

Amazing food and friendly staff. The bedrooms are well furnished and spacious. The owner really welcomes you as if you were home.

The hotel has a nice interior design, large rooms, and good amenities, including laundry, breakfast, and free parking. However, a few criticisms include inconvenient location, too soft pillows, slightly firm mattress, and thin walls. Breakfast is also only served 8-10. These can matter more or less depending on personal preferences.
