You come in, no one is there. I wait 10 minutes inside, nothing moves. Then I ask if someone is here ... No answer. Nobody wanted to work and help me

I decided to travel together with my partner a few months ago. At that time we were both still students, which is why we saved a long time for the planned vacation. With our plan we went to the travel agency "Nix wie weg Travel", which is located at our university and was highly recommended. There we decided on a ten-day trip to Egypt with FTI. The price was 1,286 euros. A very good job of the staff (this are the 2 stars) and we were looking forward to the trip. Already during the booking we informed the employee in the travel agency that my last name will change before we begin the journey. That will entail a fee up to a maximum of 50 euros was the answer. That was to cope with, in view of the great trip for little money, which we had been selected. According to the employee, we could not have waited much longer with the booking, as the great price would not hold. When it was time and I told this name change to the travel agency, so that it causes the change of name at FTI, I received a message after the travel agency had consulted with the competent body at FTI, in which an amount of 470 euros for the description of my Name accrues. As you can imagine, we fell from every cloud. The other option we were told was that we could cancel our trip. Here we would be charged "only" 371 euros. As students who know how hard such amounts are to be worked out, we felt utterly helpless and disappointed. The cancellation amount was recommended to us by the travel agency, we would get away with it "cheap". Noticeable for a mistake that was not caused by us. Finally, we canceled the trip (where should we take the 470 euros?) Which still bothers us bitterly. Until now, neither the debt was acknowledged, nor apologized and certainly not the cancellation fee, at least partially, taken over. Instead, the strategy is: do not respond to emails and hope that the storm passes and threatens legal action should a negative rating be made! A world in which one can pass on as one's own mistakes and their financial consequences on the customers: it must be great. But a small concession I would not conceal: If we book a trip from about 3000 euros, the travel agency could do something about the amount, as compensation. For sure, we will book another trip with "Nix wie weg Travel" to get our compensation. In the future, we will book online and no longer rely on the thinking of others whose field of study is traveling.
