At the beginning of 2020, on the advice of my orthopedic surgeon because of chronic pain in legs and feet (partly also lumbar spine), I was treated by a very well-functioning multi-professional team in ward 3b of the pain therapy department in the Marienstift. A large variety of pain therapy offers and the regular exchange between the treating specialists meant that after 14 days I was able to leave the clinic with a significant reduction in pain. In my view, the administration of medication was handled very carefully, carefully, transparently and always taking into account the patient's decision. You obviously take a lot of time there for each individual patient and even in a special situation that "captivated" me to my room for several days, they reacted flexibly and quickly moved the entire course of the therapy to my room, thus enabling me to continue to benefit fully from the treatments. Again, a special thank you to all treating specialists from a wide range of professions, not least of course also to the caring care team at ward 3 b.
