After several pleasurable stays in Kallstadt a special star on the local restaurant selection. This for very good Palatinate cuisine (also wild!), Delicious (ecological) wines, family flair and friendly hospitality.

Wonderfully rustic atmosphere, original Palatine home cooking, great wines, nice people. Eating and drinking a perfect Saumagen, that does not get better.

A wonderfully beautiful, cozy wine bar with attentive, friendly service. The food is good taste and lovingly prepared, however, a hungry Palatine would not be full of it. Due to the descriptions of the wines in the wine list the expectations regarding the wine quality are very high. Unfortunately, they will not be fulfilled. The quality of the white wines may well be good, but a good wine is also made in the cellar. And there seems to be problems. At intervals of half a year we tasted 2 different white wines and had to find both times that a 2-year-old wine lost all liveliness and unfolded no bouquet. The typical Weissburgunder or Riesling taste was missing completely. The wines had unpleasant moldy Fehltöne. This is very regrettable for a winery that rates itself as high as described in the map. Therefore only 3 stars.
