Schülke Platz

The namesake - Mr. Schülke - was a city architect in Duisburg in the 19th century. This square was laid out in his honor and named after him. An artificial cave could be visited, but is now walled up. The Kaiserberg was a respectable city park over 100 years ago, the Schülke Platz is one of the still visible remains of it.

I always found this place very interesting. Here is an old, artificially created stalactite cave, which is however bricked up. There must be a lot of tunnels there, in general on Kaiserberg.
