Large car park on Rathausplatz (Burgplatz) in Duisburg's old town. It is only a few meters to the pedestrian zone. In the vicinity there are government offices, medical practices, the city library and of course shopping opportunities. There are separate areas for city government employees and for electric cars (charging stations). E-cars can be parked for free while they are charging. The parking lot is chargeable and parking is even free on Sundays and public holidays as well as at night. The parking fees are very fair. It's much more expensive in the surrounding cities. The parking fee is paid with coins or a loaded GeldKarte directly at the parking ticket machine or digitally via a smartphone app (EasyPark, Parknow, ...). Outside of business hours, the employee parking lot is open to everyone. The green fee obligation also applies there, of course.
