It is a quiet place and has a few shops for the daily necessiries
Everything ok about the station. 20 minutes to the Munich main station from here. Has only one track so the trains alternate every 10 minutes for both directions. Has a small free parking space for cars but a big one for bicycles. Recently got a nice service store and a coffee/snack kiosk with indoor sitting. Metro connections towards Munich city centre (direction Wolfrathshausen) and towards Kreuzstraße. Has a small market area right outside the station and buses to the nearby suburbs.
I was there
Rather an open-air youth center with connected local transport. The train station or the market square in front of the train station is converted into a disco or soccer field almost every day (or both). On Wednesdays, at least due to the weekly market, you can walk through the pedestrian zone until 6 p.m.
With Oropax or the social possibility of enjoying music in the form of "headphones" just barely bearable. But be careful! From time to time you also need good responsiveness so that you don't fall victim to a missed free kick when you go to the S-Bahn.
The shops in the area don't really seem to complain either. When it rains, the outside area of the DB Cafe becomes an emergency youth center.
You can often see the result of a turbulent weekend on Monday. You can find everything from broken glass bottles to leftovers. The five rubbish bins with a radius of 30M are probably too difficult to reach with 2 parts per thousand. No wonder when 20-30 young people consume high-proof alcohol there and organize a soccer tournament on Friday and Saturday. Bottom up!
At first glance it looks okay, but the opposite side of the rails is full of large advertising signs that have not been changed since around 2014.
