Small Europcar franchise. Great service but small car selection

Rented a small Opel for a reasonable price. Had no problems at pickup or the drop-off. No fuss over scratches, which were probably made - you can't drive a car for several days and have none. Gave wrong info to the officials, I got a parking ticket instead of someone who rentered the car a month later. In addition, charged me 20 EUR for the "ticket processing" and do not respond when contacted. After a few months, they processed my complaint, refunded 20 EUR and sent a 50 EUR coupon. Better than never, I guess.

Impossible. I wouldn't give a star if I could. I will never rent a vehicle here again. The stairwell smells of urine, the office itself smells disgustingly of smoke and the staff is simply unfriendly. Well-founded questions, such as in my case about the make and type of the van I rented, and why I should sign a document next to a category in which new damage is recorded (although I have not yet taken over the vehicle and therefore caused no damage) were answered unfriendly, aggressive and visibly annoyed. When I asked what kind of transporter it was, I was spotted the type name. Since I don't know anything about Mercedes, I asked again to maybe get a brand. Instead, the same type name was barked at me again. The vehicle itself was not in a properly drivable condition: the front license plate was temporarily fixed with adhesive tape, there was not enough coolant in the engine and then there was a van of the same class in perfect condition that was not used. After throwing the key into the mailbox, it takes 6 days to get an invoice (and thus a confirmation that you have taken the vehicle back) - you simply cannot. Absolutely impossible, I will never go there again.
