It lays at the end of a historically interesting street, with houses that date back to the 14th century (and info signs on each house and for what it was used for over the centuries). Very beautiful little nitch of Erlangen. The small beer garden was full and has a little playground for kids and lays on the edge of a water channel, so you have a nice view of the river and the fields behind it. The hotel itself has been in the hands of the family since the 19th century. But, it does have a lot of traffic going over the bridge/highway that lays directly on the beer garden. My room interior was very basic, which made me want to be out and about until time to sleep... which is how I learned how awesome that neighborhood is behind it. The view was nice from the back window of my room.

Clean room, good breakfast. Some of the furniture is really outdated and squeak under you (beds especially).

A very nice hotel, located on the river. Close to Nuremberg. Room clean, well-kept relatively spacious. Bathroom clean. Breakfasts very good in the form of a buffet. Even service in Polish. Service very nice. I asked for an iron. Immediately found myself in my room along with an ironing board. The only minus is a very small parking lot.
