Eco Smart Apartments Erlangen

First, because there is no reception or other supervision here and it's located on a quiet street next to the main road, I don't think this place attracts the crowd they were hoping for. Many of the occupants were young women who were ferried back and forth by men in very expensive SUVs with Eastern European number plates. Probably not the SIEMENS or university workers you might expect. On the day we moved in, we did not receive the key on the app until I emailed them to ask for it while on the train to Erlangen. Then, when we first arrived in the studio flat we booked, there was no blind on the window/balcony door and the curtain had been ripped from the wall, so from the bed you could see the cars on the busy road and the neighbours. There was some dirty women's top in the wardrobe and the chair outside was a health hazard. I rang the manager, who suggested a different room but that had not been cleaned (either). The following day, after a long wait for cleaning, we were given a different room, but here the heating did not work and the cleaning staff could not solve the issue either. After calling again, we were finally upgraded to a much bigger room that did have everything you'd expect so the stars are all for the luxury room, not the studios which were best avoided. Oh, and finally, the place is full of useless gadgets (you don't need a tablet to switch off the lights when in a studio flat where you can almost touch all the walls from the centre of the room), but essential things don't work. For example, neither we nor any of the three delivery people we had round managed to operate the video doorbell system. This means that you really have to constantly look at the video feed from outside when you expect someone because they have no way of letting you know they are there. A plain doorbell or standard system like you find in other homes simply works much better.

Amazing. Great for short or longer stays. The stuff was very helpful and the place was clean, comfy and super modern. Definitely would recommend!

We were very late to check in to the room. Instead of 16:00, we came at 3:00 the next day. We were unable to get into the room. Even though it was very late, we tried calling them. Thankfully they answered after a few calls. He was very supportive and opened the door manually. He saved my day. The room was just as mentioned in the website. New and smart room with all the required aminities.

Amazing place.

Nice and comfortable, however no receiption is a bit unconvenience to make the key valid.
