It was a okay. Nothing fancy and they did not have any water bottles in the room you had to purchase them each time. I have been in many restaurants where the water at least is part of the guest service. The staff was friendly enough and helpful. The rooms were small and the bathrooms even smaller. So that was no fun. But overall I think 3 stars is truly what this hotel deserves.

This hotel could be good if they were not practicing overbooking. One time I arrived late 11.30 pm after long trip and they told me to go to NH hotel because they had no more more room for me despite my reservation. My recommandation is book NH directly you’ll save time. Avoid this bad service.

My stay in Novotel was not a pleasure at all. I’ll give them one because: 1- it took almost 20 minutes to check in and they messed up with my reservation 2- I asked for a plaster in reception as i had a wound on my hand. The receptionist brought one which was very small. Thus I asked sorry may I have two since they are small and she was very angry of me and shouted at me you asked one and went to bring another for me with a bitter face!!! 3- i was about to take a shower and realized they didn’t put the shower cap. So I called the reception and asked if they have one. He replied me with a bad tone and asked me to come down to pick it up. When I asked can you send it to me he refused very rudely. After 2 -3 Minute arguing he accept to send it to my rooms and he emphasized it is the last time!!!!

Real Joke. I pre paid a room for 1 night. My plane was late, I arrived at midnight at the hotel. There I was told that there was a general issue with room booking, but I do not have to worry : they booked a room in another hotel.... And then the guy started to google an hotel and gave several phone call to different hotels. After 15 min, he proposed an hotel in Nuremberg (my plane arrived in Nuremberg airport 1h30 before). So he offers to me to pay a taxi in order I go back from where I was coming from.... But I will have to pay by myself the taxi to come back in erlangen the day after...Interesting. I asked wheter he was pulling my leg? Then ha start again looking for another hotel in Erlangen. 15 min after, he found one. I had to take the taxi.. and finally arrive in my room at 1.30 am in this new hotel When I checked out the day after, I was told that the rate was the same as the Novotel, but that I had to go back to the Novotel for the breakfast. Or pay 25€ in addition.... I thought it was a joke, and looked for the candid camera. ...it was not a joke. Why one star? Because it gave me the oppportunity to bring back a good story from Novotel Erlangen

Very good service and welcoming personnel. The room itslef is large and has most of things I have needed. It does look a bit old and so is the bathroom. It is walkable to the center of town. Overall the hotel is nice but it's quite expansive.
