The cathedral is a survivor and apparently the little gargoyles that protect it from damp and heavy rain, also saved it from bombs in WW2. Also the construction took 3 centuries from start to finish so it'd better be tough. The tower/spire is said to be the most beautiful ever and I have no reason to doubt that. The gothic style architecture with red stone is just a right combination.

Couldn't enter inside because there was a prayibg underway inside, so naturally we stepped out. If you are just a tourist, be sure to check praying times before, so you can enter. 1 less star because the outside wasn't in great shape, they're restoring that currently. Market place around the cathedral is great, and colorful.

Must visit if you are in the city. Really well preserved and beautiful. The Christmas market around the place in summer market in summer is worth a visit for the fresh produce. The overall ambience wonderful with lovely music playing all around.
