After nothing stood at this point for a long time and historical masonry was found during the first excavations, the historians first had a lot of work. Now a modern building stands at the point that has nevertheless been integrated into the building landscape on Herrenstrasse. The staff are all very friendly and are happy to answer the many questions you may have. It is definitely worth paying a visit there and finding out more. It is definitely a recommendation.

The building of the Augustinian Canons has been here since 1677, the military hospital and barracks in 1871 - later the neighboring ordinariate and the Capuchin monastery, where the Konviktskirche was built in 1826. In 1929 the Konvikt was expanded. After a long period of fallow, the building at Herrenstrasse 33 has now emerged in clear, modern forms as a c-point Freiburg directly opposite the Old Münster Bauhütte and the Münster Choir. Doric columns are reminiscent of the past and give the building a festive touch. Inside, friendly people offer information and service, conversation and attention, exhibitions and guided tours. We take time for you: take advantage of the offer - we are the church, everyone, the people! Everything is accessible for the disabled.
