The Studentenwerk Halle is partly responsible for the fact that I had to break off my studies. Basically, someone is NEVER available in the branch office. No matter whether by phone or email. Callbacks or an answer by e-mail never occurred. I received blank sample letters without any information or incorrectly printed letters. Calls to the headquarters made no sense, but I was assured that a new letter was on the way. These letters never arrived. I submitted my application in August, and at the beginning of December, after a long struggle, I finally got my student loan. Unfortunately too late. I did my bachelor's degree in another federal state, where everything worked much better. I really have no problem with mistakes being made, but mistakes are systematically concealed here. Nobody takes responsibility or feels called to help. Thank you for the "uncomplicated" support during Corona.

At the end of my studies, I would like to thank you for the support, the friendliness and the commitment of the Studentenwerk Halle to help students fruitfully in critical situations - none. 1.5 years of written, oral and bureaucratic aggravation in various matters and one of the main reasons why I would like to do my doctorate at another university after long deliberation.

During Corona I was no longer able to do my job and it is difficult to find a new, halfway decent job in Halle. Corona aid was denied to me by the Studentenwerk despite all the criteria that were met and a loan is out of the question for me. Now I'm moving back to my parents and will finish the last bachelor semester at the University of Halle without being present.

Save yourself the hassle and effort and learn everything you need to know about Bafög and Co.! I made appointments and called several times only to be rejected unfriendly. At an appointment that I made especially for the application for the foreign student grant, the clerk said to me literally "I've never done that before. I don't know anything about it." Another clerk interrupted me on the phone and then reacted irritably when I asked again.
