Top :)

I then unfortunately do not agree with a few other recessions! (Corona may have an impact on people's minds!) The advice was very, very good! I write that as a loyal regular customer. A lot of time is always taken for a competent conversation! The prices for a framing correspond to the quality - a little more expensive than some cheap shops, but it also lasts longer. As I said - Galerie Zimmermann & Heitmann is the first address for me here in Dortmund!
Miu 2step (11/12/2020)
I wanted to have two small oil paintings on (presumably) chipboard (Chinese export painting approx. 1890) freshly cleaned and framed. No gloves were put on and the objects were touched several times with the fingers in the middle of the painting surface and the (now no longer flat) plates were pressed flat against the counter! My heart stopped and the language went away. The handling was otherwise friendly, but that just doesn't work!

Very good selection of pop art. Professional and reliable!

I've been thinking for a long time whether it's worth writing a review on this gallery, but since poor handling of customer property seems to be the rule, I would also like to share my experience with Z&H. A few months ago I brought a hand-signed, personally dedicated print to the gallery for framing. It was agreed that the print should be framed in a passepartout and nothing else should be changed on the work of art. After the gallery found it very difficult to find a passepartout that matched the color of the picture, they tried to give us the picture in a much more yellow passepartout. The color didn't even match the sample we picked on the day it was dropped off. Obviously bad work was apparently no reason for Z&H to revise it again. After asking to have it reworked, it was reluctantly returned to the workshop. With a gallery like Z&H we would have expected that a correction would be offered of its own accord. However, that is not yet why I am writing this review. Since Z&H was still unable to find a mat in the right color, we decided to take the print back with us. When it was taken out of the frame, we found that the print had been 'raised' without prior consultation, ostensibly because the material was too thin (it is a high quality print on very thick and firm white paper). According to the definition of Galerie Z&H, 'pulled up' means that the picture was permanently glued to dirty, torn cardboard with spray glue - as already mentioned, completely without prior consultation. When we also found that the print in the workshop was also damaged by a cut on the motif side and that the cardboard was visibly protruding from below the picture on several sides, we were initially speechless. From the employee and Ms. Heitmann neither an explanation nor an apology came, although it was obvious that the order was processed with at best insufficient care and the picture was badly damaged. To this day, I have received no response to an email in which I described the situation again. I don't know what art understanding the Z&H gallery approaches its work with, but it doesn't seem to be that every picture and every print is at least one of a kind that is irreplaceable for the owner. When I made it clear that the picture was badly damaged, Ms. Heitmann asked (quote): 'Can you get that again anywhere?'. No, a print with a personal dedication by a draftsman who no longer travels to Europe cannot be 'obtained again anywhere'. The Z&H gallery no longer lives up to its previous quality standards.
