Camp David Ranch Restaurant

Very overrated! For a $150 room I expect more maintenance and better terminations. Looks old and outdated. The place has a great view and the restaurant looks great even tho the service is BAD BAD BAD. At a gas station by the road people looks happier to be working and treat you better and say THANKS OR WELCOME. Hosts and servers are rude. They don’t even say good morning when you arrive for breakfast. Which btw includes only one tiny thing from the menu and you end up paying extra for a GOOD meal and natural juice since only includes hot chocolate as a beverage. So if you drink coffee or tea you better pull your wallet out and resolve your starting day. The ambience and guest are respectful and high end. But the place needs to train their employees to be hospitable and provide the service for this type of clients.

The best, words can't express what you can find over here, service, excellent city view, wonderful sunset and sunrise, great clime, lovely people, outstanding food quality, over all a well spent dollar, keep up the great work, people at Camp David, you get to see it and you'll definitely come back every year... Great for weddings, honeymoon, family time and or couples retreat, or just for someone looking to get away from the city life, the people and or the cameras, superb place in Dominican Republic. Great Atmosphere! Phenomenal Views! However, in my personal opinion, this place is a bit overhyped. L.I. Cocktail was watered down, and almost double the price than a regular bar at "Monumento" area would charge for. It's obvious to note that coming here, one should be prepared to spend. With that in mind, that was no issue for me; only thing is that I live by the principal of, "you should get what you payed for". The food, however, was amazing, what was not amazing was the portions, so come here on an empty stomach, and you may not be satisfied. Service: Was Good. Not exceptional, as expected, but good. Waiter was nice and attentive. But to be completely honest, I Received more exceptional service over at "Mr. Grilled" not to far away, at a "Lower" restaurant, you would say, for a much lower price of the overall bill. Similar atmosphere. In conclusion: Come here to enjoy the views, and for the experience in fine-dining at the edge of the mountains. However, me being a NYC Native, I expected more and was disappointed. Don't let this review deter you from visiting. Go for yourself, and find out! Quick tip: When calling to setup your reservation, ask to be put by the "views" (Along the edge of the restaurant.) Else, be disappointed to be positioned in a location where the "views" is a glimpse. When asked to switch tables by the "Views", was kindly denied. EDIT: I only dined at the restaurant. I did not stay at the hotel or any other accommodation/extensions of Camp David Ranch.

The place was super high end, definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to, view from the restaurant was top notch, waiters were very well trained, not to mention the food was delicious! Even tho it was indeed one of the fanciest place in DR, food was not pricey, will go back for sure and I highly recommend this place for a nice date, or a special occasion...etc.

Amazing atmosphere and amazing food. Recommend the steak taco appetizers and the dry aged steak was hands down amazing. The pasta dish was super delicious also.
