Alamo Rent A Car

I've used Alamo at least 3 times since arriving in Sosua, 2 months ago. Carlos and Rafael have gone above and beyond to provide excellent service. I tried the kiosk next door at the airport, but there was no comparison. The best prices and Promotions were directly on their website.

I made a reservation trought Travelocity with two weeks in advance for a car rental. The car was not available at the airport and the Alamo agent was very arogant. He show me seven other reservation which apparently where in the same situation. Don't trust this company

Flew in over Christmas. Landed before our car was ready. That’s fine. Was told there was an upgraded car ready for me immediately if I wanted it. It wasn’t worth it. Told to come back in 30 minutes. Did. Wasn’t ready. This happened two more times until they told me they would give me the upgraded car for free. Finally, an hour after we were supposed to pick up the car, it’s ready. It’s not the upgraded car. It’s the one we originally ordered. Whatever, just wanted to start my vacation. Email Alamo corporate when I get back to tell them that the dog and pony show was rather embarrassing and if that’s how they intend on running their business, they’ve lost mine. They forward my email to the Dominican office. Do you think I heard from them? Emailed corporate Alamo two more times to no avail. So I’m left to forewarn you over googlemaps as to not only the utterly transparent and incompetent way Alamo Dominican does business, but the lackadaisical and “not my problem” mentality it’s parent company suffers from. Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
