Excellent rent car store

They tell you that only luxury cars or big jeeps/trucks require their own insurance then when you try to book a small compact or small suv they say you can’t unless u get their $22 insurance. That insurance is commission for them and is totally negotiable. When you get there tell them all that you’ll go with the one who doesn’t charge the extra insurance. You’ll see how quickly they change their tune. A bunch of scammers. If they were honest I would give the a tip and actually come back to them. Call a rental company in DR before you (outside of the airport) and make them commit to a price and make sure it’s doesnt not include that extra $22-$25 insurance. Then have a taxi take u there.

Don't trust these people!!!! They are liars and try to scam you on the insurance I rented a vechile online I called to make sure no hidden fees Avis call center tells me no everything is good.. I get to the airport with my kids and as soon as I get there the man at the desk starts throwing all the insurance fees my rental was supposed to be $198 and he added $500 worth of insurances I clearly told him I didn't want the insurance and he basically told me in my face well u either get the car with insurance or I can't rent it to u and while me and my wife trying to figure a solution gentlemen at the desk basically was rushing telling us we either gonna rent the car or get out. Due to being pressured and our kids frustrated from the flight and being hungry we just had to put everything in our card... I would never recommend this place to nobody and I would NEVER!!!!!! rent from this Avis EVER AGAIN!!!! The professionalism and customer service was HORRIBLE!!!!! Huge night mare

Online I got a price in person it was another,but the lady's that work there tried there best and are very helpfull

When you return the car they will find something wrong with the car something you had nothing to do with and make you pay for something you had no idea. Fruad !!! Dont use this company
