Very responsive and professional. My family and I had the best experience with their Atv tour in Las Terrenas. We loved it... Thank you peninsula tour and our guide Henry for such a great experience!!

Highly recommend. We did two tours with Peninsula, whale watching and the Limon waterfall. They were both absolute highlights of our week in the Las Terrenas area in Feb 2021. Whale tour: We were picked up in Coson and taken to Samana to board the boat. Our guide, Henry, gave us some interesting facts and info about the area along the drive. Once to the dock we boarded very quickly and were off. The boat was clean, safe, and offered a restroom. We saw a lot of whales, even one jumping out of the water! Staff were very careful of our safety during higher waves, but still let us have some fun as the boat went up and down. The kids on the boat had an absolute blast! After a couple of hours we were taken to a small island for lunch and some beach time. Lunch was delicious and plentiful, drinks were very good, bathrooms have an attendant, beach offers chairs, local musicians played fun salsa music for some dancing. The beach was clean and the swimming very good. There is a small open market shopping area for trinkets. Transfer back was easy and fast. Great day was had by all. Waterfall: Henry picked us up and brought us to a local family's ranch. The horses and tack seemed very well cared for. We rode up the mountain on steep trails, very exhilarating! My daughter was frightened, so one of the guides led her horse on foot the entire way up the mountain. We were so thankful for their attention to her fear, it really meant a lot. She felt much better with their kind help and was able to relax and enjoy herself. At the top we had a short hike down to the waterfall. Wear sturdy shoes! It is not an extreme hike, but it does get steep in a few spots and the stairs can be slippery in the tropical humidity. The hike felt terrific and warmed us up for the swim in the gorgeous waterfall. Stunning, really. After swimming and pictures at the fall we hiked back up to where our horses were. There is a teeny bar where we could purchase a beer and a snack. Restrooms were available. Then we ride back to the ranch for an absolutely delicious lunch. Chicken, rice, beans, fried yucca, salad, fruit, beer, soda...all prepared by the lady of the home who is an excellent cook! I can't say enough about how terrific our guide Henry was. His English was very good, and he was easy to hang out with. Henry provided a lot of information about life on the island and answered all of our many many questions. He was patient with our time and honestly made both excursions very relaxing and informative. Will also post this review to TripAdvisor, as that is where we found them initially.

We joined Peninsula Tours on the excursions “Whale watching + Cayo Levantado” and the “The 3 most beautiful beaches”. Both tours where great! We booked directly through the web page, which was very smooth and got us a discount. We are a family of two adults and three teenagers from Sweden and everybody enjoyed it. The beaches where amazing, snorkeling was good and the whales majestic. The guides Henry (whale tour) and Frank (beach tour) where very knowledgeable and took really good care of us! We highly recommend Peninsula Tours!

Absolutely the best time!! Whale watching then to the most beautiful island and beach I’ve ever seen in my life. We saw so many whales up close! The boat captain was excellent at navigating the choppy waters (take Dramamine if you’re notion sensitive- half of one if smaller in size). We saw a mom and baby whale swimming together, among so many others. Just awesome. The deck hand was so friendly and kind, making sure we were all taken care of. Then the island... most gorgeous beach. You can see your feet on the sand when neck deep in the water! Ultimate paradise, perfect time there with a lovely lunch. And Henry, the best tour guide you could ask for! On top of everything, incredibly knowledgeable, so so nice, perfect English (among about 10 languages...) This is the tour company to go with if you want to have the most fun.

We had a group of 15 people and had a fantastic time. We got to try the local fruit, chatted up Henry and his staff, and learned how cocoa is harvested in its raw form before we headed to the waterfall on horseback. Great guided service and the ranch hands did an excellent job spotting the horses up and down the terrain. Saddles were clean and the horses were in good shape in comparison to the many others we saw on the island and very well behaved. After that they cooked us a ridiculously good meal and I'm not messing around that was some incredible food. Top notch service guys every single one of us had a blast!
