El Rincon Del Baquita

This is by far the best restaurant I've been to in all of Ecuador. The food is fresh (a lot of the vegetables come from an organic garden on the property), and carefully prepared. You have to try "Lomo a la Piedra," which is an amazing piece of steak cooked on a volcano rock. They bring it out to you sizzling, and accompanied by a delicious mushroom sauce made from 18 different ingredients. I've returned on countless occasions, and each time I'm surprised by how each meal consistently exceeds my expectations.
