La Casa del Pozo

The attention and dedication of the girl outside to lure you in is very good. She is very friendly and and happy. One in an other girl served us, which also treated is good. She knew a lot about the food and how it was made and gave some good recommendations. After ordering it all went downhill. It's like we didn't existed anymore. We were just sitting there and listening to live music. Which was good, but a little too loud. The food took quite a while, but tasted good. The surprise was on the check. There was an extra charge for the live music which was suppose to be free (the girl outside mentioned. Also we did not get the promised welcome drinks. This is a swindle!!! 😡

La Ronda is a wonderful place in Quito historic center, and this restaurant mix antique ambient with live music and delicious local food. You can order to drink boiled wine, canelazos, three or four brands of beer, coffee and tea. The food looks and tastes so good. In live music you can listen local and latinoamerican songs. The service can improve. When I requested the account, the waitress lated to bring me it, about 15 minutes. With this exception, all the rest was good!!!

La Ronda is full of places with aggressive hosts/hostesses out front telling you about all the food and fun inside, but we were looking for an more chill bar after dinner to share a pitcher of canelazo and hang out. This was the perfect spot; it has multiple small rooms, so each room maintains a bit of its own ambience. There was a solo guitarist who played an extraordinarily long set list - several songs got people singing along as well. Prices were a bit on the high side, but you're in a more touristy area so what do you expect? They have a lineup of craft beers as well as the big two Ecuadorian beers, and our group tried a couple of them and find them all decent to good. Recommended for a smaller venue on La Ronda with no neon lights or fog machines.

Terrible service, cold plate of Nacho's with dry chicken and ground beef and charging money to listen to live music, come on..
