Museo del Carmen Alto

One of the best museum experiences in Quito. Beautiful modern ramps and refurbished wooden floors. Excellent examples of wall art that was part of the convent experience in the 17th century. Very well-informed and accommodating tour guides. I strongly recommend.

Very little English translation. We felt rushed out by the security people

A Carmelite Convent. The museum gves you a representation of what life in the convent was like over 200 years ago. We had guide/guard show us the direction to take. Excellent collection of antique crucifixes. Very reasonable admission. We had the senior rate. 3.00 US for two. We spent about one and a half hours. Relaxing, not crowded. A beautiful chapel at the end.

Very nice museum for kids. Some part of the facility needs maintenance though

The museum tour can improve, or maybe it is differentiated at the moment that it is free and paid.
