Museum of the City

Just finished up a tour there with the lovely guide Jessica. It was really interesting and enjoyable. Entrance fee is $3.00 for adults. I took the Spanish tour but I saw they have English ones for a little more money. They had a cool old time buggy or carriage or whatever which was so cool! Run don’t walk and get schooled in the history of Quito!

I enjoyed the museum but I cannot read Spanish. Some of the exhibits had English but not enough for me to fully understand the story of Quito

Very informative and well preserved museum. Right in the city center. The best spot to get your picture with the panecillo Virgin from the terrace. Very safe and amazing views. The staff is so kind.

It is a nice modern structure with lots of environments and perfect for pictures and amenities... Not a heck slot to see but if you bring your bike you'll have a great time riding around this unique space and structure...

A well presented and plainly well thought out attempt to chronicle Quito's history from the earliest of times. Sadly we only had 40 minutes here since the place closed earlier than expected at 4.30pm. Dioramas were somewhat turgid but use of marquetry and genuine artefacts was appreciated.
