Ok
In 1541 the first group of Dominican friars arrived in Quito. They built their building on the site known as the Loma Grande. It was simple and made of earth and straw. In 1581 the Spanish architect Francisco Becerra, took over the construction of the current Convent of Santo Domingo.
During the 19th century Italian friles modified the interior style of the church and its facade, making Santo Domingo a pillar of contemporary art in the country.
The Chapel of the Rosary is constituted as the richest example of the Baroque from Quito with its unique 17th century style. The museum exposes the influence of the Dominican community towards society in education, art and culture.
In particular, I love that contemporary art museum
A good experience through Night Legends.
Beautiful
