Very nice place to visit. Amd pacefull.

It is run down and needs to be remodeled.

Very nice church

The matrix church of Sangolquí possessing an enormous architectural wealth was inaugurated on January 17, 1926 by the Archbishop of Quito Manuel María Polit Lasso and consecrated by Mons. Pablo Muñoz Vega on July 2, 1964, after the damage caused by tremors. Its facade combines columns and tympanum of Greek style, towers and niches of Roman court. Inside, the sculpted stone, the wall painting and the beautifully decorated altars stand out. Next to the church is the chapel of San Francisco, built on what was the first parochial church of the 16th century. Opposite, in the park, is the original pool that was in the main colonial square of Quito.
