These guys didn't have any documentation in English. All the documentation was in Spanish. We explained that we don't want to sign things we cannot understand. The guy said that in Ecuador this is how all the companies operate and we can ask the other rental companies. Well we did and they had english paperwork. Tried to talk with the manager and they acknowledge the issue but there was nothing they can do. She suggested trusting Avis because it's a reputable company. We ended up canceling the reservation and booking a car from another rental company. That was my experience, and I thought it would help other people who don't like putting their name on a paper that can say anything.
