Lots vegitable and fruits. Away from bus terminal. But not much choice for fish . For fish ibarra market is better and bigger. Also not far from bus terminal

Great Ecuadorian market,lots of variety,and affordable, everything organic and staright from the farmers.

Be very careful buying food here because meat and fish are typically not refrigerated!! When restaurants buy meat/fish/chicken that has not been refrigerated, customers are likely to regret that meal!! Fruits and vegetables are fine if peeled. Otavalo's Municipal Market is in a new, covered building. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean the meat and fish are refrigerated!! It's pretty incredible that a new market was built without meat lockers having been installed for the vendors to rent! Salud Pública should enforce refrigeration of meat and fish in Ecuador!
