Car hire in Quito Ecuador Nazcar a car

We hired a car for three weeks (one way from Quito to Guayaquil). In general everything worked fine - we had no accident or any other problem. Just the car was quite slow (especially crossing the mountains - sometimes with 20km/h or 30km/h) - because the engine was not so strong. In the area of Guayaquil and at the coast we had troubles with the air condition. The air condition of the car just couldn't handle the outside temperature. After 30 to 60min the air condition was not a help any more and needed a break. After stopping the air condition for around 30min we could use some again for a little while. The window of the co-driver was not closing properly - we realized this at the first day driving a little faster. And the GPS System they gave us needs an update. The GPS quite often misleads us - but we find our way through beautiful Ecuador!!

No issues with the car we rented. They didn't charge us for cleaning or for adding an additional driver half-way through our trip. Staff is also very responsive on whatsapp, which is a plus.

I will never rent a car on this conpany again the service was horrible I rented the car for two weeks but had to return the car before the due date because after we were stopped at a check point we realised the car had last been registered on 2012 none of the car paperwork was correct
