Unidad Educativa INES MARIA BALDA

INES MARIA BALDA was the first school founded in Petrillo, named after the distinguished teacher from Montecristi Manabí, INES MERCEDES BALDA CEVALLOS. Since October 15, 1951, it has been registered as a fiscal school, however, as a private and municipal institution it had already been working many decades before. His birth was in a typical country house on the banks of the Daule River, where Petrillo laid his foundations, since much of the commercial movement was done by river. In the sixties it had its own premises located on the main street of the town, but this was insufficient for the constant growth of the student population, for which, at the beginning of the seventies it was necessary to build a new and definitive building in the Barrio Lindo sector (August 17, 1971). From the 2014-2015 school period, the levels of Initial and High School were increased, taking the name of Educational Unit with a double shift with the capacity to house more than 1000 students.
