Santa Rosa

I think Santa Rosa is actually a pretty cool looking little town. It is definitely the real Ecuador. In my short one hour visit I can only summarize it as being consisting of what I would call the commercial District or the downtown from which buses pass-through. Going towards Salinas you would first enter the area at the park proceed to the commercial District and then either turn left to go back towards Salinas or turn to the right to go more toward the fishing area. If you go one block off the bus route toward the ocean you will be on a divided Avenue with basically no traffic but great views of the port. I visited during the off-season so it may appear a lot different during the regular tourist season. It seems to have had some careful thought as to how to try and attract more people to the area.
