My name is Maria from Austria and I've been doing online spanish classes with this school for almost a year now. I really enjoy discussing actual subjects with my teacher Lusmila and I love to learn about Ecuadors culture and people. The diverse classes make it very interesing and I can feel a lot of progress since the beginning of my course. Can recommend it a lot to everyone!!!

Great option to both visit Quito and learn spanish! The teachers were very kind and helpful, they can teach on any spanish level. They also placed me with a host family from Quito and with a hospital to do an internship at.

When I began my trip to South America I spent a month or so with Atahualpa, making sure that the half remembered snippets of Spanish from school weren't all I had to work with. In Atahualpa I was fortunate to find wonderful, kind, passionate teachers. My trip was immensely richer for their efforts, and I couldn't have had a better introduction to Quito, Ecuador or South America. Thanks guys!

I learned more Spanish in 10 sessions than I did in 3 years of high school language classes. I started barely being able to give my name, to being able to communicate with our guide and driver on vacation who didn't speak any English at all. If you really want to learn to speak Spanish and not just poke around Duolingo, take this class!

I can highly recommend the Atahualpa Spanish School for many reasons: - personal 1:1 or group lessons, matched to your level - city tours and expeditions to learn the language "on the go" - friendly and helpful teachers - nice classrooms - located in a nice and safe neighborhood close to the city centre I stayed with the owners of the Spanish School for three months and really enjoyed the hospitality, the excellent food Martha and Vicente cook and the helpful advice for daily and weekend tours, where to go in town, and so on. They also have an nice apartment where you can rent a room and cook for yourself. The house is located in a safe and nice neighborhood and the city center is either a 15-20 min walk or 5 min bus ride away. Quito itself is a good place to learn the language because the accent is rather clear and easy to understand for beginners.
