Nice little church. Wood with a roof. Anna Church is located by the Tallinn-Tartu road, in the village of Anna in Paide municipality, 16 km. From Paide to Tallinn. Anna Church is the smallest church in Järva County. The late Baroque church was built in 1776 - 1780. There are 200 seats in the church, 300 views. According to folklore, it was built in 1650. Anna was a wooden chapel that was a little away from the church. The church was supposed to come to the same place, but each morning was found broken the day before. As Ukukivi was located nearby, the demolition was associated with the worshipers of the ancient idol Uku. We started looking for a new place. Work progressed in the new location. The church was named St. Anne. This is due to a picture of St. Anne found at the site of the new church, which probably came from a nearby Catholic monastery (there were two of them). The construction of the church was started in 1776. The construction work was supervised by the patron-in-chief Adam-Johann von Baranoff. The church was consecrated on July 6, 1780. Järva provost by Johannes Rinne. 1852 major repairs were made to the church. 1914 a new shingle roof was laid on the church tower. 1927 the church roof was laid around, the whole church was plastered and illuminated. A doorway was cut in the outer wall of the scissor chamber and a door was installed, the church tower was crossed. 1928 the church underwent internal repairs. The church was bleached and new furnaces were built. 1930s smashed an elongated church tower, one upright, and exterior doors. The damage was repaired in the same year. 1936 became a church with double glazing. 1957 the next major renovation of the church took place. 1975 the stone roof of the church was replaced with asbestos cement. In the same year, the pulpit, altar and altar painting were also restored. 1990 the church tower was painted. Since the construction of Anna Church fell in the Baroque period, it is a Baroque hall church with no decorative elements. It seems calm and clean in its simplicity. In the altar The original altar in the church has been preserved with individual elements, which were rebuilt in 1892. The new altar and pulpit were finished in the pseudo-Gothic style and have the most typical Gothic decorative elements. At the same time, the scissor door belongs. The organ dates from 1877. Before that, the church played a role in music in 1842. worried harmony. Church bells are cast in Tallinn, dating from 1790 and 1853. On the altar "Help me, Lord." have been completed at the same time as the pulpit and the altar and form a single whole. The author of the altarpiece is Rudolf Julius von Mühlen. On the floor of the church there is a tombstone of Georg von Boc, the year 1758. Source: Anna. eelk. ee wordpress / church /
