The first Swedish saving bank was founded in Gothenburg in 1820. In 1992, a number of local savings banks merged to create Sparbanken Sverige ("Savings Bank Sweden"). In 1995, this bank was listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange and in 1997, it merged with Föreningsbanken under the combined name FöreningsSparbanken (abbreviated FSB). During the late 2000s global financial crisis, Swedbank accepted government assistance due to its losses from loans made to neighboring Baltic economies.

I have revised my score to one star because they have closed my accounts suddenly without providing any reason at all. Avoid swedbank at all costs.

Disgusting service! I just came to pick up the card from the office. To which the woman began to be rude to me, saying that you can order at home, and not add work to them. When I ordered the card by phone, the girl herself suggested that it was safer to order at the office, and that they would help me activate the card on the spot. The woman in the office refused to help activate the card. The incompetence of the workers is amazing!
