The car was delivered to the hotel on time, the car was new, clean and very fuel efficient. The service at delivery and return at the airport was very friendly and professional. AVIS preferred customer service at its best.

I would avoid Avis in Tallinn going forward. Had bad experience due to additional charges added to agreement which I didn't ask for. Booked a voucher through Avis Ireland and the included items were not respected. Added full cover without being asked. Tire pressure was not checked before handing me car and child seat offered was not suitable for 2 year old.

IMPORTANT: Estonia doesn’t allow you to drive on non-EU Zone foreign licenses. Enterprise rented to us on a North American license with the caveat that if stopped by the police they will impound you roadside. Get an international drivers license.

When renting online, we set the pick-up location at Tallinn port, after which the confirmation letter said the pick-up is at the port. A few minutes before arriving at the port with boat, we were called and told that we have to come to the AIRPORT to pick up the car. The customer servant said that if we want the car to the port we would have to pay 30€. How is it possible to have to pay extra about something that is already included in the original payment, and is also confirmed in the order confirmation? Avis/Budget personnell were stubborn and defensive. They said that the information about the extra 30€ was in the terms and conditions. We could not find this information. In the end we had to give up, because the personnell so defensive and also helpless to change the situation. This was a horrible start to our holiday, and will be remembered. For taxis we had to pay 25€ and lost time and energy.
