The son came to the Academy of Childhood at the age of 3. This is a kindergarten for ordinary children, but with extensive experience in the inclusive education of children with special needs. Usually there are 1-2 children in the group who differ from their peers. The son's behavior and development was not age-appropriate enough. Severe disability, autism spectrum disorder, lack of speech. In ordinary life, this was expressed by the fact that the son did not eat on his own, could not cope with clothes, with personal toilet procedures. I did not understand the need to observe the regime, wait for my turn, share toys, go for a walk with everyone, listen to the teacher in the classroom, and complete assignments. He reacted very sharply to the manifestation of emotions by other children. Due to problems with speech, it was difficult to understand his desires, as well as to establish interaction with other children. The teachers were faced with the difficult task of adapting the child to the social environment of the kindergarten, plus additional work with parents. I, as a mother, at that time did not realize the depth of the problems, had no experience of how to react to problematic behavior. It was also difficult to cope with strong emotions: tears, mood swings, denial of problems. After leaving for 1.5 years at the Academy of Childhood, the son was able to transfer to the speech therapy (tasandus) group of the municipal kindergarten to start daily classes with a speech therapist. Regime, collective activities, emotional behavior of other children were already perceived by the child calmly. He accepted the requirements of teachers, was accustomed to the fact that each place has its own rules. He developed well-established models of behavior with children and adults, although speech never appeared. After 10 years, against the background of other studies and visits to specialists, it is safe to say that 1.5 years at the "Academy of Childhood" gave a lot for the development of his son. We still visit our favorite kindergarten several times a year! In my opinion, the main thing that is definitely taken care of in the kindergarten is a reliable, protected and safe space for the development of the child, filled with warm and loving adults. And the space of the house, the dining room, and the playground are all filled with love and care for children. Special children also visit the kindergarten, and I saw how carefully and carefully, focusing on their individual characteristics, conditions for development were created for them in this warm space. Smiling and curious children, attentive and interested parents and specialists, I am grateful to you for this wonderful meeting!

Beautiful garden. The son came from the municipal garden to the Academy of Childhood. I am still grateful to Elena and all the educators for helping to adapt and giving the child the opportunity to open up and were very attentive. The child became brave, sociable. Each educator puts his heart and soul into children and their development. This is not just a kindergarten, but a place where children are taught vital things.
