Narva maantee 104, Annelinn, Tartu, 58.387172, 26.727312 58 ° 23 '13.82 ", 26 ° 43' 38.32" Tartu parish of sv. Petra dates back to 1869, when the so-called so-called separation agreement between the Tartu Mariinsky parish and the magistrate. The cathedral was consecrated in September 1884. The Petrovsky Church, designed by architect E. Schroeder, stands in a place symbolic for the Estonian people’s self-identity - it was here that the First All-Estonian Song Festival was held in 1869. In 1948-1997, the Church of St. Petra served as a haven for the Mariinsky parish, and since the beginning of the 90s - also for the Tartu Ingermanland parish.
