Hugo Treffner Gymnasium

A very lovely looking building from outside and instide with very friendly staff. Also has a well maintained basketball court and changing rooms equipped with a sauna.

School has been in this house for centuries. Namely, here before the Treffner School in 1919, several schools, of which the most well-known Tartu city school has been operating, has been operating here. So, HTG has its own history. Older times and their flute are also felt in the house while walking around. During the last restoration, during the turn of the century, it was tried to preserve and highlight the original pieces as much as possible: for example, the lounge floors under the ceiling, the classroom with the floor floors, the former WC found in the interior of the director's cabinet during the rebuilding, which can now be seen by opening the door. However, it is a modern and comfortable schoolhouse. In order to enable HTG students to study in a cozy atmosphere and to have a pleasant and supportive learning environment, the building has been well renovated and upgraded since the November 1998 burning.
