Kärla kirik, Kärla, 58.333339, 22.258826 58 ° 20 '0.02 ", 22 ° 15' 31.77" The classical style church in Kärla (located on the 19th kilometer of the Kuressaare-Kihelkonna highway, 1.5 km in the north-east direction) was built in 1843 on the site of the old church. The church houses one of the most beautiful Renaissance woodwork in Estonia, the epitaph of Otto von Bukshoev from 1591. The author of this work is considered to be the chief sculptor of Lubeck in the late 16th century - early 17th century, Tönnies Evers. In the central part of the architectural composition of the epitaph there is a relief image of a scene in Kolgata, the image of a slender figure of a person was influenced by the so-called ideal of beauty. The slender capitals of the pilasters represent the ancient gods. The carvings were based on various motifs from the Renaissance style.
